Medication Management
Prescribing With A Purpose
For some of us, medication is a necessary and valuable part of healing and ongoing wellness — whether needed for a defined period or as a longer-term part of life’s journey. Parkhill’s medication management services are designed to give you thoughtful, considerate psychiatric care wherever you are in that process, from initial evaluation through ongoing monitoring and adjustment.
Signs Medication Management May Be Right for You
- Symptoms of anxiety, depression, or another mental health condition are significantly affecting daily functioning
- Therapy alone hasn't provided the relief you're looking for
- You're currently on psychiatric medication but haven't had recent, thorough follow-up
- You're curious whether medication could be a helpful addition to your current care
- You've been prescribed medication elsewhere and want ongoing, attentive management
- You're navigating side effects or uncertainty about your current medication regimen
Our Approach
Our prescribers take a collaborative, whole-person approach to psychiatric medication — considering your full history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and personal preferences before making any recommendations. Rather than treating medication as a standalone fix, we view it as one part of a broader care plan, often working in coordination with your therapist to ensure consistency across your treatment. Decisions about starting, adjusting, or discontinuing medication are made together with you, with your comfort and informed consent guiding every step.
What to Expect
Your first appointment involves a thorough psychiatric evaluation, covering your history, current symptoms, and any previous medication experience. If medication is recommended, your provider will walk you through the options, expected benefits, and possible side effects before starting treatment. Follow-up appointments — typically more frequent at first, then spacing out over time — allow your provider to monitor how you’re responding and make adjustments as needed. Appointments are available in person or via teletherapy.
